Instructions for Authors

Instructions for Authors

Thank you for choosing to submit your research to the Journal of Multidisciplinary Research in Science, Technology and Management (JMRSTM), published by Power House Solutions Private Limited.

JMRSTM is a fully Open Access, peer-reviewed international journal. Submission of a manuscript implies that the work described has not been published previously, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, and that its publication is approved by all authors.

  1. Manuscript Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through our online journal management system.

  • File Format: Submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) as given in the website

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English. Authors who feel their manuscript requires language editing may use professional editing services prior to submission.

  • Submission Files: A complete submission consists of:

    1. Title Page (with complete author details, affiliations, and corresponding author email).

    2. Main Manuscript File (blinded for peer review, containing no author names or affiliations).

  1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should generally follow a standard scientific structure:

  • Title: Concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations where possible.

  • Abstract: A single paragraph (150-250 words) summarizing the background, objectives, methods, key results, and primary conclusions of the study.

  • Keywords: Provide 4 to 6 specific keywords for indexing purposes.

  • Introduction: State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

  • Materials and Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference and summarized briefly.

  • Results and Discussion: Results should be clear and concise. The discussion should explore the significance of the results, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate.

  • Conclusions: The main conclusions of the study should be presented in a short section.

  • Acknowledgements: Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references. List here individuals or funding agencies that provided help during the research.

  1. Formatting Guidelines

  • Fonts and Layout: Use a standard font (Arial, 12-point), double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides. Please include continuous line numbers to facilitate the peer review process.

  • Figures and Tables: All figures and tables must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1) and embedded near their first mention in the text. Ensure figures are high-resolution (minimum 300 DPI) and tables are fully editable (do not submit tables as images).

  • Mathematical Formulae: Present simple formulae in line with normal text where possible. Use an equations editor (like MathType or the built-in Word equation tool) for more complex, standalone equations. Number equations consecutively at the right-hand margin.

  1. Reference Style

JMRSTM follows a clean, standardized citation format based on the APA 7th edition style.

  • In-Text Citations: References in the text should be cited by author and year in parentheses. For example: (Smith & Jones, 2024) or (Taylor et al., 2025).

  • Reference List: References must be listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

  1. Ethical and Integrity Guidelines

JMRSTM adheres strictly to the core principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

  • Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality using automated text-matching software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the journal's threshold will be rejected immediately.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy: Authors must declare if generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were used in the writing process or data analysis. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.

  • Ethical Approvals: Studies involving human participants, data, or animal testing must explicitly state that approval was obtained from an institutional ethics committee, including the approval reference number.

  1. Peer Review and Publication Process

  1. Initial Screening: The Editorial Desk checks the manuscript for scope fit, formatting compliance, and plagiarism.

  2. Peer Review: The manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent expert reviewers.

  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor will make one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.

  4. Acceptance and APC: Once a paper is accepted, the corresponding author will receive instructions regarding the Article Processing Charge (APC) payment and final typesetting proofs.
